On a different note, I finally got around to uploading the photos we took on our recent couple of weeks away and they made me realise 1. how blessed we were to have the time/ money etc to go, 2. how glad I am we went, and 3. how much we needed those couple of weeks away!
These are a few of my favourite photos from the trip.
View from the hill at Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. Where the first permanent settlers in SA landed.
Skeleton of a baby whale that got beached back in 1984 (so just about as old as me) with a seal lying next to it. South coast of Kangaroo Island.
Where we stayed for a couple of nights in the Flinders Chase National Park on the west coast of Kangaroo Island. Really funky little original cottage!
NZ fur seals. Well travelled! Huge colony of these live near Admirals Arch in the Flinders Chase National Park.
Remarkable Rocks- M, A and a beautiful well timed rainbow.
Haha! M is actually teaching a satire module to one of his classes at the moment so we took this photo for them!
Sign telling us to watch out for the Cape Barren geese- there were HEAPS of them.
View from cliffs near Cape Borda lighthouse, on the west coast of KI. Beautiful!
Us at Cape Borda
I got a bit carried away uploading photos, so to avoid this post becoming too big and too hard to open I’ll put the rest in the next post….
